Transformers 2 is the worst film ever made. It's too long. It cost millions to make. Millions that could have gone towards finding a vaccine for malaria or building wells in third world countries. I want my money back! If I'd actually been paid to see this film I'd still have felt ripped of. What is it? Where is the plot? Why is Michael Bay still being allowed anywhere near a camera? And why is it doing so well? It's made about $42,320,877 so far.
Well, the fact is is that it's a sequel, like a lot of the films in the cinema at the moment. Either that or they're adaptions or remakes. District 9. The Final Destination. Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince. The Time Traveler's Wife. Ice Age 3. G.I. Joe. All's Well That Ends Well. Dorian Gray. Night At The Museum 2. Film makers know that they will get an audience so long as the film is part of some franchise or other. I hate sequels. About 9/10 times they are just so that the studios can get more money. Truly great films don't need sequels, they're satisfying enough on their own. Thet's why there isn't an Apocalypse Now: Revenge Of The Viet Cong or Withnail and I 2.

At the risk of sounding harsh, I don't think 'it's too long' and 'it's a sequel' are really reasons to not see any movie. I haven't seen Transformers 2, so I'm not trying to defend it, but surely if it was that bad, you'd have a bit more to say about the movie itself?

I have to say that more reasoning as to why it is so terrible is required for this to work. I haven't seen it either.
